We are looking for someone to join this fast growing team as a Delivery Manager.  In this role you will be responsible for overseeing teams of lawyers and paralegals to help us deliver outsourced legal services to our clients.  

We’re looking for someone with strong administrative skills and legal project management experience who’ll go the extra mile to support our lawyers and clients. 

As part of the LOD Managed Services team, you’ll have plenty of support and guidance but will also need to work autonomously to get things done. You must have experience and an interest in working with lawyers, you are the crucial bridging point between our clients legal team and our lawyers delivering the service day to day.

In your day to day role, you’ll be responsible in the following areas:

  • Managing a team of legal professionals (paralegals and lawyers)
  • Allocation of incoming work to optimise utilisation of the team
  • Ensuring that matters are turned around in a timely manner and projects are running smoothly
  • Ensuring key performance indicators and service level agreements are met
  • Ensuring client-facing data and reporting is kept up to date
  • Guaranteeing know-how is captured and correct processes are followed
  • Reporting on team performance and preparing client ready reports.  This includes the number crunching required to take raw data and turn it into insightful information (including trends and forecasts)
  • Recognising points for improvement within processes and systems and putting in place plans to improve things (on both internal and client processes)
  • Handling escalations raised by the clients or the lawyers in relation to delivery.
  • Building a trusted relationship with our clients. You will be the first point of contact for the client on anything related to this service.
  • Reporting to senior members of the delivery team around team utilisation, client satisfaction, and any outstanding and completed actions for each team.
  • Collaborating on ad hoc project management.

YOUR SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND APPROACH

  • Confident providing accurate support in an often-fast paced environment
  • Pro-active approach and can-do attitude
  • Can quickly gain credibility and respect from our clients 
  • Emotional intelligence to assess any situation and confidence to use initiative
  • Strong communication skills to ensure team members understand the task at hand and client expectations are managed  
  • Attend and run regular client calls and meetings
  • Willingness to take ownership and see a task and project through from start to completion
  • Innovative and motivated responses to problem-solving, taking ownership when they arise 
  • Experience with core Microsoft products especially Excel and Powerpoint
  • Experience with reporting packages (e.g. PowerBI,) would be a nice to have 
  • Legal experience a nice to have
