Our ideal candidate will have come from a broad tech background having worked in multiple areas in their career and spent the last 5+ years working in dedicated application solution roles. The candidate understands both the need to be technically savvy and have strong customer service skills. The ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, easy-to-understand language is vital.
Having been through a successful digital transformation over the last 3 years technology is right at the heart of LOD underpinning every facet of the business. LOD is a cloud native organisation working with some of the most exciting technologies on the market in innovative ways. The transformation journey is far from over with continuous improvement enabled across all departments. This is a remote role, based predominantly in South Africa.
To help support the next step on the journey an exciting new role is being created. As part of a highly innovative Global Tech team, this will be a crucial role for the organisation and will have broad responsibilities. The role will be the senior technical lead for all core business applications used across the global business. Core technologies are based on MS Dynamics stack (Marketing, Customer Engagement), Power platform, o365 and 2 x non MS platforms (Recruitment & Matter Mgmt systems).
- Ensure the smooth day to day running of the Application environment
- Work as part of a globally distributed delivery team working in 2 weekly sprints of continuous improvement activities
- Implement best practice and maturity into delivery against business requirements and product roadmap
- Lead the architecture and design elements of the system working closely with consultant currently providing these services
- Work closely with leadership to ensure delivery is tightly aligned to a fast paced business growth agenda
- Support the drive for use of more data within the business – architecting solutions within the application stack
- Ensuring data integrity is maintained and identify improvement areas
- At least 5+ years’ experience with Dynamics (specifically Customer Engagement+ Marketing) as a functional consultant and/or developer
- Dynamics 365 solutions design and architecture experience
- SharePoint solutions design and architecture experience
- Demonstrable experience with the Power Platform, particularly Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate
- Continuous deployment experience using MS DevOps
- Prior experience of partnering with Product teams
- Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience of mentoring junior staff in their career development
- Positive “can do” attitude, energy, and enthusiasm – ability to turn hand to whatever the business needs are at any level of the organisation
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience applying security best practice into solution design and delivery
- Excellent communication skills adapting to the audience
